The Opposite of Clean & Simple

I've had a bit of a chaotic week and so last night my husband took the kids out for a pie and I had some time to unwind, and what does a stamper do to unwind? Stamp! Hehe.

I've been wanting to make a holiday planner for quite some time already and last night was the night. It took me an embarrassing amount of time to complete this but I'm happy with it! My last post is a card that is very simple and I have to laugh at how this project is completely on the other side of the scale, I guess you could call me a bi-polar stamper.

I won't list all the colours and supplies used, I basically used all colours that coordinate with our new designer paper, Deck the Halls. I added Crystal Effects to the berries on the front which I think adds a nice elegant touch and the snowflakes are all covered in the Champagne Shimmer paint. I'm not sure yet, but I might do a class with this planner depending on the interest. I told myself that I was actually going to use it, and not let it collect dust because it's too pretty to ruin with my handwriting, lol. Ask me again at Christmas time if I actually used it!

This planner includes the month of November because most of us are already busy planning like crazy during that month! I added a small envelope for receipts and covered it with some more designer paper, the back flap is left open so you can add receipts as you shop.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!
Tina

What is the planner made from? Manilla folder? or just paper?

If you decide to sell this as a class for demonstrator, please post that info on your web site. I love the planner and have no idea how you made it. It's so pretty...but you do have to use it and enjoy it!

Thanks for all the compliments ladies! Yes the base is made out of a manilla folder. I trimmed it to be a 8 1/4 x 11 folder (when folded).

I will be working on a tutorial soon but I'm unable to do it this weekend so it won't be until the beginning of next week.

Thanks again!

Tine, I just found your blog and LOVE your style. Because of your beautiful work, I added two stamp sets to my recent order. I have my fingers crossed that you will add a tutorial for your planner. It's the prettiest one ever. May I ask what is the source of the snowflake you used on this and several of your cards? Thanks, Pam

Tina, I keep returning to see if you've posted a tutorial for this. I'm hoping you'll still do one. In the meanwhile, please tell me how you cut the scalloped layer behind the main image on the front. Thanks again, Pam
