Post it Purse

What a windy day! If it's not raining, it's windy. In fact by the end of the week it's supposed to be raining again. But if you want to look at the bright side of things, at least the grass doesn't need watering, lol.

And let's not forget that tomorrow is the big day for the new catalogue!!!!!!!!! I. am. so. excited! Do you think the kids would mind not going out for Canada Day tomorrow so I could get my order in asap? I think I'll convince them to start the day early so we can home for a "rest" (wink wink) before the fireworks.

Here's another project that we made at club on Monday, these cute little Post it Note purses. I love anything that looks like a purse, must have to do with my love of actual purses, hehe.

The designer paper was bought off of the Clearance rack, love this stuff. It's definitely worth your while to regularly check it out, and get stuff for a great price!

Live With Passion

Hi everyone, school is out and I am ready for a relaxed summer! Although my mornings are definitely not as quiet as when everyone is in school. I woke up to ball games in the house, I don't think anyone should have to wake up to referee, lol.

Today I want to show you a card we made at my Club workshop last night, we have so much at those! What could be better then to get together to laugh, make friends and stamp?!

This card shows you how you can create a cloud background using the scallop circle punch and Baja Breeze ink, super easy. I can hardly wait until the Baja Breeze is once again current, only days to go, wohoo!!

Stamps: Inspired by Nature
Paper: Baja Breeze, Old Olive, Whisper White, Pacific Point
Ink: baja Breeze, Old Olive, Basic Black
Other: Rhinestone Brads

Have a great summer day!

Because I Care: Take Two

When I made the first card I couldn't help but think it would also look really nice with the Newsprint dsp, but I never ordered it in my preorder. Ack, what was I thinking right?! Lol. So I did what any sane stamper would do and placed another preorder. I love this paper!

I once again stamped the flower on whisper white cardstock, and then quickly went over the whole flower with my aqua painters and Cherry Cobbler. Then I took my blender pen and picked up more of the Cherry Cobbler and deepened the colour in the shaded areas. The leaves were coloured with kiwi kiss first and then I used Old Olive to deepen the shadows. The Newsprint and the Crumb Cake piece both had the edges sponged with the Crumb Cake ink.

Another Sneak Peak

Today's card is another sneak peak from the new catalogue, it's only DAYS now until we can order all the new goodies, yay!! I have my list all ready to submit on July 1st, can't wait!

But on the to card, this is a sketch from somewhere, I think it was a Mojo Monday sketch and I saw a talented demo (sorry don't remember who) use this stamp set on their card and I just had to case it.

The card uses a new embossing folder called Vintage Wallpaper which will be available to order on July 1. I love how elegant and deep the embossing is. The stamp set is also a new set, Friends Never Fade and it will be available to order in July as well. The main piece is made from the Presto Patterns dsp, love this stuff. It comes white with glossy designs on it so when you add your ink the designs resist the ink and you get this gorgeous paper! So nice to have because so often I want to make a card with a certain colour but don't have the matching dsp, now I make my own.

Stamps: Friends Never Fade, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Daffodil Delight, DSP-Presto Patters, DSP-Greenhouse Gala
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Basic Black
Other: Black Satin Ribbon, Black Brads

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!!

Because I Care

We are having such a beautiful day today, warm sunshine with a slight breeze, does it get any better?! Well, yes it does because I got a little more stamping in with some of the new stuff from the new catalogue.

I'd be lying to you if I didn't say I love this card. Love how the new Cherry Cobbler looks combined with Crumb Cake (formerly known as Kraft) and black. I'm also so excited to finally have ink in the Kraft colour, oops, Crumb Cake.

This stamp set is one of the new Hostess level 1 sets, isn't it gorgeous! And you want to know the best part? This set will be one of many door prizes at my grand Catalogue Kick off Party!!! Yup, you read that right. Anyone that attends my party on July 12th is entered to win this stamp set. I'm so excited I can hardly wait!

But on to the card, lol. I cut out a mask for the rectangle in the middle, I then used a sponge with the Crumb cake ink and kept sponging until I was happy with it. The flower was stamped on another piece of WW cardstock, I quickly went over the entire flower with an aqua painter and Cherry Cobbler. Then I took my blender pen and picked up more of the same ink and darkened the shaded areas. The leaves were done basically the same way only I used some Kiwi Kiss (retired) and Old Olive. The flower was carefully cut out and glued down.

Stamps: Because I Care (Loooooooooooove this set!)
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, Crumb Cake (Looooooooooooove the new inks!)
Other: Black Brads, Black Satin Ribbon

Thanks for stopping by, hope you're enjoying your day!

Presto Birthday

More sneak peaks to come, just not today, lol. We had such a beautiful day today, my husband spent the afternoon working on a play structure, the kids played with friends on their "slip n slide" and I was busy making cards this afternoon. What coudl be better!

I bought the presto patterns paper not knowing if I really liked it. Well, I love it. It comes white with the pattern parts in glossy print so it resists any classic ink that you add. Imagine the possibilities!

For this card I brayered the designer paper with Soft Suede and and roughed up the edges with the edge of my scissor, easy peasy! I think I might add more embellishments, once I figure out where.

Stamps: Sense of Time, Sincere Salutations
Paper: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, DSP - Presto Patterns
Ink: Soft Suede
Other: Antique brad

Friends Never Fade

As promised, here's another sneak peak. Although I really didn't do the stamp or paper justice, I think I'll make another attempt today. Trust me, this is such beautiful paper not to mention all the other new designer paper that I can hardly wait to get my hands on!

I used my mat pack to pierce the holes for the faux stitching, the actual "stitches" is made with my chocolate chip marker. I love using actual sewing on cards but until my stamp room is done, this just seems to be easier.

Stamps: Friends Never Fade
Paper: Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Chocolate Chip (marker)
Other: White Satin Ribbon

Have a great day, tune in for more sneak peaks!

My name is Tina...

And I have a stamp addiction. Seriously. But how can you not have that addiction when you keep seeing all these gorgeous stamp sets!! After checking the mail, I almost squealed like a little girl when I saw the new catalogue, lol. So after spending the afternoon oohing and aahing, I have to tell you that you are going to LOVE all the new stamps and accessories!

One of the perks of being a SU! demo is that you get to preorder some stamp sets and paper, and I was super excited when I saw the delivery man at the door. This set is one of the new baby sets that you'll see in the catalogue, "Baby Bundle". It's a set of 16 with a cute baby stroller and a bunch of smaller stamps like a bottle, duck, booties, bib, and of course the onesie. Plus there's a matching onesie wheel!

This card uses the new Early Espresso brown, hands down my favourite brown! I used Pink Pirouette to layer and the onesies were coloured with Pretty in Pink. This is a simple card that took only minutes to make while dinner was in the oven, I couldn't wait to use it any longer, lol.

Stamps: Baby Bundle
Paper: Early Espresso, Pink Pirouette, Very Vanilla
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Basic Black
Other: Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon

Thanks for stopping by, I should have more sneak peaks for you for the next little while so check back tomorrow.

Back to School

I must be sounding like a broken record, but it's raining again which means more time for stamping! Right now I don't mind the rain since I planted my garden and this means less watering for me, which is always a good thing!

Today's card is made with the First Day stamp set. I have three school age children so when I saw this set in the summer mini I knew I wanted it. Don't you just love that little bookworm!?

Stamps: First Day
Paper: Kraft, Real Red, Whisper White, DSP: Various packs
Ink: Basic Black, Night of Navy, Close to Cocoa, Bashful Blue
Other: Black Brads, Library Clip, Real Red Corduroy Buttons
