What a day!

Today was one of those days where the kids were bickering. all. day. long. It's enough to drive you over the edge of sanity.

But through all that I still managed to get a layout done during the quiet times (they were short and rare).
Thanks for looking.

Sorry it's been a while since my last post. I've been sick for over a week and I'm finally starting to feel better. I'm one of those people that doesn't get sick very often but when I do...

So here's a lo I did of our dd at a camping weekend with some friends in 06. She had so much fun that weekend. Nothing special to tell you about this one.

Camping fun

Well our kids just love camping, they love everything about it. We just went last weekend and they're already planning our next one and counting down the days. Here's a layout of the kids in 2006. I hand cut the title using my hobby knife, yeah I know, I need to catch up with the times...

Color Inspiration #5

So I've been a big fan of Kristina's blog for a while now. http://www.kwernerdesign.com/blog/index.html (Sorry I'm having trouble inserting a link so you'll have to copy and paste the address.
Such great ideas and love her videos. Here's my first ever attempt at participating in one of her color challenges. I used Chatterbox pp, Stampin up stamps and their scallop punch. I didn't have close to cocoa paper so I used chocolate chip instead. Love these colors together.

So frustrated

I can't seem to make a baby card that I like, at least a baby girl card. I think I need to go shopping some more girly pp. But here it is, in all it's oddness...

I made some more 8x8's over the last few days, just haven't gotten around to putting them up. I'm still amazed at how much quicker I can complete a page like this.
I was so excited to use some of my Stampin Up rub ons that I got for free during the celebration month. I always have a tough time remembering that I even have them, much less figuring out when to use them.

No, these are not one of our sons in two pics, this is actually both of them, they just apparently look very alike in these pictures. At least that's what everyone keeps saying.

I love these shots of our DD, she was having so much fun with the sand, I just love the big gut hanging out. One day she'll be sucking it in like the rest of us poor souls.

Baby cards

There must be something in the water because everyone around here is having babies. It's insanse but it gives me an excuse to make baby cards, who doesn't love baby cards! Although I have to say, I'm not that happy with both of the baby cards that I made. Something's not quite right about them, but maybe I'm just being too picky. Both of these cards were made using my new Nursery Necessities stamp set from Stampin Up.

Today's post

So I did a couple more LO's over the weekend, those 8x8's go so much quicker for me. Although I'll have to make some cards again since I have a baby shower to go to next weekend and it seems like everyone around me is pregnant so I imagine I'll be needing a lot more.

I have no idea why this image is so blurry but I figured you could still see it well enough.

I'm not that thrilled with page but I guess you can't always love every single page you do.

More 8x8's

These 8x8 pages are the greatest. I did another two pages yesterday and I'm hoping to do more today. I spent a load of money at one of our local scrapbook stores yesterday. I love the paper selection they had and I will definitely be returning.
So the one page is of our boys playing with chalk and the other two are from our DD 2 year birthday party. After I finished her b-day pages I realized that I had left no room for any journaling. Oops, I'll have to try and sneak some in.

And here's what they look like together:

This was my first time using a tag to hide the journaling, I really like it. Especialy since you don't have a lot of spare room with the 8x8's.

I'm on a roll

I've decided that I enjoy the 8x8 albums more than the 12x12. Not much to tell you about this one, I never remember what brands I use for any of my supplies, other than I used chocolate chip ink from Stampin' Up and also their tag punch .

Love & Happiness rub ons

I have to say I was hesitant about getting the rub ons from Stampin Up's Celebration catalogue but since they were free I thought why not. Now I'm so glad I got them, they're awesome. This card turned out nothing like I had wanted but now that it's done, I really like it. And you probably guessed already that the caption on the card is made with a rub on from the Love & Happiness set. Beautiful set.

So Sweet of You

This card is made using the So Many Scallops stamp set from Stampin Up Celebrations catologue. It's a beautiful set. This card is slightly bigger than a 4" x 4". I used the scallops punch from SU to punch out the flower and I also used pop ups to raise the scallop punch. Love the colors of this card.

Love this stamp set

This card was made with the Priceless set from Stampin Up. I love this set, it's so versatile.

Scrapbooking again

I took a long break from scrapbookin, and I'm finally getting back into it. Although I am enjoying card making more than anything. Here's a couple of cards that I've made lately.
