Easter is one of those holidays that creeps up on me and before you know it, it's gone. First you spend a month preparing for Christmas, then you need a month just to recuperate, lol. Before you know it Valentine's Day has come, and just when you think it's time for a break, there comes Easter. But enough whining, on to my post.
I had another stamp class last night at my place and this is one of the projects that me made. It's such a cute little Easter basket and really quite simple, you can make it as detailed as you want or keep it simple.
Stamps: All Holidays
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Orchild Opulance, DSP-Tall Tales
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Other: Antique Brads, So Saffron Ribbon
Well I'm glad you guys like the basket, they really are super cute! So here's the dimensions for the basket, I got the template from Splitcoaststampers but I'll post it here too. I've posted two photos to give you a better visual, click on the pictures to enlarge them.
You want to cut a piece of cardstock to 4 3/4" x 7 3/4" for the basket. For the handle cut a strip of cardstock to 1" x 11" and a coordinating designer paper to
3/4" x 11". Glue the designer paper to the cardstock strip that you'll use for your handle. Score your basket on all sides at 1 1/2".
Now cut on the score line on two sides just until you reach the other score lines. Fold all score lines in and glue the flaps to the sides of the baskets. Decorate the basket as desired. Glue the handle to the inside of the basket, now use your hole punch to punch holes for your brads. The brads give the handles a little extra strength so it won't fall apart.
Well there you go, very easy! Have fun making these!
Thanks for stopping by!
